When you open up the deluxe Colt Canada branded carry case and gaze upon the contents, the fact that you just spent £1800 on an airsoft gun becomes somewhat insignificant. It is absolutely gorgeously well made. The overall finishing and the markings are done incredibly tastefully, it looks and smells as if it had come straight from the Colt Canada factory. Now prepare to read the term “CNC”  more in one description than you ever have before. The bulk of this replica has been 5 axis CNC machined, using 6061T6 billet aluminium for the monolithic upper receiver and 7075T6 billet aluminium for the lower receiver. It then has a CNC steel outer barrel, CNC steel muzzle device, one piece CNC aluminium buffer tube, CNC steel charging handle hinge, CNC steel ambidextrous selector switch, bolt release, magazine release, CNC 6061T6 billet aluminium hop up body, includes a CNC steel barrel removal tool which is a very nice and useful addition. It comes with a CTR style buttstock, an ergo style grip and  a mini tool kit. The hard polymer carrying case is lined with custom cut foam to keep it all sturdily in place.

Since pictures of SAS Trooper Christian Craighead came out of Nairobi, Kenya in 2019, wielding this new and interesting rifle, the airsoft community has been calling for an accurate replica and until now with both this and the Rossi AEG, the most avid fans of the weapon have taken to custom making their own, some even fashioning for themselves the parts and fixtures that are otherwise unavailable. In some cases this has been even more expensive than this complete kit. So it’s about time an airsoft manufacturer released one, and Archwick with the help of EMG and Cybergun have really smashed this one out of the park. Having it run on the MWS system, a proven and reliable gas blowback system with heaps of aftermarket support and products, replacement and upgrade parts and much more in the pipeline, was undoubtedly an excellent choice.
